Hi Guys and Gals!,
We’ll be continuously looking for ways to involve the local community throughout this adventure of organising a WordCamp. The first chance that you’ve got to get involved is here – we need a logo!
We haven’t come up with anything that we love yet, so we’ve decided to throw it over to you to see what you can come up with.
The competition will close on July 24th.
How to enter:
- Design something!
- Tweet about your entry with the #wcgold hashtag mentioning @wordcampgc and a link to your logo
- Email it to us: goldcoast @ wordcamp.org
- Profit! (With your name published as the logo author, and a free ticket to the event!)
Any rules?
Yup, It’s pretty straight forward really:
- Needs to include the WordPress logo, Vectors are available here, WordCamp vectors are also available
- Needs to reflect the nature & Spirit of WordCamp and the Gold Coast
- Simple colours are best, we’ll want to keep our printing options open. (Feel free to submit a Greyscale version as well as a coloured one if it suits your design better)
- By entering the competition, you’re giving us the right to use the logo, this will also mean others using it to advertise the event. We may modify the logo if required for whatever reason. You will retain copyright over the logo.
How will the winner be chosen?
The winner of the competition will be decided by the organisers of WordCamp Gold Coast.
Need some inspiration?
Seeing we’re on the Gold Coast you can consider the following:
- Beaches
- Surfboards
- Beachballs
- BBQ’s
- Thongs (a.k.a Flip Flops for the Americans 🙂 )
- Emus
- Koalas
- Kangaroos
- Drop Bears
- Cricket
- Football
We look forward to your entries!
Serious bonus points for use of Drop Bears. 😀
Will mention this to a cool designer I just met.
Gutted WordCamp is over a weekend would rather have been during the week.
